Meal Packing Success with Million Meal Movement

Buckingham team members joined together on Indy's north side on Friday to help feed Hungry Hoosiers. It was a fun afternoon with music, camaraderie and the need for speed to pack 8,400 macaroni & cheese meals in just under two hours.

Upon arrival volunteers checked in picking up their gloves and hair net. Everyone received a warm welcome from Buckingham Foundation Executive Director, Theresa Rhodes, who thanked volunteers and encouraged attendees to meet someone new.

Community service continues to bring our Buckingham team closer together. Helping others is a terrific way to spend the afternoon and I am grateful for this crew.

A $3,000 grant check was presented to Million Meal Movement by Community Engagement Team member Nicole Wetzler and then instructions were provided from Million Meal Movement's General Manager, Shane Scarlett. Shortly, everyone took position and the assembly line began with bag labeling, content filling, weighing, sealing and boxing. Clean-up was fast and easy with all hands on deck.

Thank you to this amazing team for showing up, embracing the heat, staying hydrated and bettering the lives of others. Bravo!
