Buckingham Food Pantry

Opened in 2015, the Buckingham Food Pantry at George Buck Elementary was created to support and serve the students at this K-6th grade school, many of whom struggle with food insecurity. This week, Buckingham volunteers helped unload a delivery from Gleaner's Food Bank and stock the pantry shelves.

Fun Fact: The Buckingham Food Pantry has evolved to not only supporting the students and families of George Buck Elementary, but is now open to the surrounding neighbors, which has broadened our impact.  Because of the support of our generous donors, we have supported 73 households and 276 individuals from April to June 2021.

Don't forget - your contribution to Buckingham Foundation helps fund community initiatives like the food pantry. If you aren't already a "Give 5" donor, please reach out to Ashley Parker to find out how you can participate! And if you and your colleagues or families want to volunteer for a shift at the food pantry, don’t hesitate to let us know.  It’s a fantastic way to start your week and focus on gratitude and our Buckingham core value of community involvement.
