Buckingham Foundation and The Alexander Expand Covid-19 Collaboration

In addition to serving free meals in its collaboration with Second Helpings, The Alexander has now expanded its community outreach by offering free accommodations for Indianapolis-area hospital medical workers, including doctors, nurses and first responders. Located in Buckingham Companies’ CityWay neighborhood in downtown Indianapolis, hotel accommodations include one-bedroom extended-stay studios, all of which have a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. Buckingham Foundation is generously picking up the tab for these stays through the end of April.

“Buckingham Foundation initiated this mission to give back to the local medical community after considering the physical and mental strain experienced by these heroes who are altruistically serving those affected by the COVID-19 crisis,” said Barry Cockrum, general manager of The Alexander. “We are honored to offer this support, while continuing to serve as a Satellite Kitchen for Second Helpings.”

To take advantage of this offer, medical workers may call the reservation desk at (317) 624-8200 or toll-free (855) 200-3002. A valid I.D. and current medical credentials are required at check-in. Limitations may apply.
